The Grand Hotel, originally built in 1885, is now home to the Gun Room, which is worth a look, if only to see the beautiful floors and woodwork.  The business is as much a museum of unique and historic firearms as it is a retail outlet.  Open from Tuesday-Friday 10 a.m.-5 p.m.; Saturday 9a.m.-5 p.m.

The Gun Room is owned and operated by Col. Robert Stutler, a 25 year marine veteran, and a 20 year Sturm Ruger executive.  In addition to guns and ammunition, this unique store contains memorabilia from Stutler's careers in the Military, Ruger Firemarms, and his frequent safaris to Africa.  The beautifully restored building and the museum quality displays are worth the visit. 

You'll not find another gun store quite like this in the state of Kansas.
