If you like Picasso, come to Gulick Park in Goodland to see the Picasso-like The Big Rooster by local artist Brian Freeman, the first painting in Goodland's Art in the Parks program. Also enjoy the gardens maintained by the local Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS) and Goodland Master Gardeners. Each spring, Goodland High School band holds a concert in the park.

 

Freeman is also associated with another public artwork in Goodland. He commissioned Laurie Albin to paint a mural on the building he then owned.

 

The easiest way to view all the paintings on their easels is to start at the van Gogh Project painting and go north to Steever Park for Ad Astra Per Aspera; Gulick Park for The Big Rooster and finally Rosewood Park for Arapahoe Sun.
