About this Exploration:

In 1979, Joseph Adamson and Fred Blue bought a building across from the high school and named it La Fiesta Restaurant.  They served Mexican Specialties and various American foods.  In 1984, the building caught fire and was destroyed.  The same year Joe Adamson and Bill Smith had built a fast food restaurant on Highway 36 they called the "Quickie Chickie and Snack Shack”.  After the La Fiesta Restaurant was destroyed Joe and his wife Chris purchased Bill Smith’s interest in Quickie Chickie, remodeled the building and named it Park Hill Restaurant and Fiesta Room.  It featured Mexican food, chicken and steaks.  It was the first class B club in Cheyenne County.

Many high school students throughout the years began their working career by bussing tables or taking orders.  It is a fun place to work.

Twenty six years later, Anita Amack serves delicious Mexican food, steaks and seafood Tuesday thru Sunday, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.  It is a favorite of many out-of-towners who come from neighboring communities in Colorado and Nebraska to eat a Sopapilla or a seafood platter.
