GET OXFORD!
Oxford is a strong community located along US Highway 160 in south central Kansas.
Founded in 1871, Oxford's history dates back to 1869 when the Osage Indians camped near the large cottonwood ford which winds along the Ninnescah River and dumps into the Arkansas River. Oxford established the first school district in Sumner County. In the 1930's the town was booming with oil production, had three railroads, a hotel, and a mill.
Oxford boosts 5 beautiful city parks.
Cave Park sits along side the Arkansas River, and has a playground, a boat ramp, and covered pavillions. Napawalla Park offers camping sights, a playground, and covered shelters.
The USD #358 school system offers quality education.
