About this Exploration:  The Gyp Hill scenic drive is one of the 8 Wonders of Kansas and stretches 22 miles through some of the most stunning landscape in Kansas. Most of the route is on unimproved roads and traverse open range, so please watch out for cattle. Look for the turnoff sign 3 miles west of Medicine Lodge on US 160. The Scenic Drive will return to US 160 on the Lake City Road.If you stop the car, step outside and spend some time imagining you can see cattle herded by cowboys as they move from pasture to pasture or to t he market. Or you can see herds of buffalo by the thousands as they roamed free in this country over a century and a half ago.
