This is a classic soda fountain in downtown Leavenworth's fanciest building and part of a winning entry for the 8 Wonders of Kansas Cusine. A great place for hamburger, fries, and a hand-dipped malted. Open Monday-Saturday at 7:30 a.m.-6 p.m., they serve breakfast all day. This explorer special doubles as an architectural wonder. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976.
