Along with the unique Civil War Statue, stroll around the old Iola Cemetery and find an original "Eleanor" outhouse, a War of 1812 soldier's grave, Cofachique citizens' graves, the 9th Kansas Calvary graves, Granny Cowden's grave (first white woman in southeast Kansas), the grave of Cinderella, stones explaining how the deceased died and a monument explaining how the town of Iola got its name (she is buried there!)
