Father Padilla ParkAddress:
501 North Broadway About this Exploration:  Towering old oak trees shade a playground, picnic area and entertainment stage in our beautiful Father Padilla Park. Father Juan De Padilla travelled from Mexico as a "Martyr for the Faith". He was killed in 1542 by Indians. A memorial marker stands in his memory, that was erected in 1904. Tickle your toes in the icy waters of the natural spring that flows thru the park. Strolling is encouraged on the walking path around the little lake. Bring your lawn chairs and fishing poles and see what you can catch! Our WPA swimming pool and bath house are original and welcome all ages. Have you played Disc Golf? We also have a fantastic disc golf course layed out through this park area!
