The Museum is a Santa Fe Trail interpretive site and features a variety of displays covering the history of Barton County from its Native American roots to its rich World War II history. The museum sits among rescued and restored buildings from the past - an 1873 pioneer home, an 1898 church, a 1910 train depot, a 1915 one-room school house and a post-World War II prefab Lustron home.  Visitors can use the Ray Schultz Research Library to trace historical events or family history.

Open winter hours: Tuesday-Friday 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
Summer hours: Tuesday-Friday 10 a.m.-5 p.m.; Saturday-Sunday 1 p.m.-5 p.m.  Group tours are available.  Admission is charged.
