GET BENNINGTON

Bennington is home to the annual Bennington Lions Club PRC Rodeo, usually held the first weekend of June.  Come enjoy our Muncipal Swimming Pool and Antelope Park.  Our downtown features The Linger Longer Ice Cream Parlor (features original soda fountain and backbar); Westside Ventures for a deli sandwich daily or broasted chicken two evenings a week; a home cooked meal at the Bennington Cafe or kickback with a cold beer at The Dog House Bar.  The relocated Bennington Depot features special music programs.  3 Rivers Art Studio and Gallery is home to local artist Debbie Wagner, she also displays artwork from other local artists.  Sparks Kennels brings people to town looking for that special dog to take home as a pet.  Local churches are Bennington Bible Church and The United Church of Bennington (Methodist/Presbyterian).  New fire station to house Ottawa County Fire District #4 and Bennington Ambulance Service was built just north of the city limits in 2011. The departments moved into the new building in December 2011.  The Fire Auxiliary holds fund raisers to support the fire district.  Their annual Stop & Shop in December is a holiday treat.  Santa even stops by to entertain the youngsters while Mom & Dad look over the offerings of various vendors.
